Passport not delivered

I had my interview on the 30th and my passport has not been delivered yet. The VFS website says that the passport has not been handed over to them as of today. I was not given any 221g slip/form and the VO told me that i should be getting my PP in 5 days, it's been a week now and VFS hasn't got the PP yet. Is there something i should be worried about? I have my return ticket booked for next weekend and i am getting a bit nervous about the whole scenario. Does anyone know if there is any other way to get in touch with the consulate?

It will take some time if your case is in admin processing. Check with the VFS helpdesk or send an email to the respective consulate.

Thanks Shervin. I contacted VFS and they said they haven't got the PP from the consulate yet. Is there a way to know if my case is under admin processing? How long does it usually take for the whole process to be completed? I am not sure if i should postpone by return which is scheduled next weekend.

If it is under admin processing, then VFS would know that. Try contacting them again, they might have got an update from the consulate. The processing time for admin processing is different for each individual case. Some people have got the passport back within 1-2 weeks. For some, it has take several months.

Is admin processing same as issuing of 221g forms? I was not given any 221g after i was interviewed and neither have i got any notification from the consulate regarding the same.

If the VO knew beforehand that your case need to go into admin processing, then he/she would hand over a 221g. But sometimes, they take this decision after the actual interview, in which case you would come to know by mail or you need to call them or email them to get the actual status.

But you went for the interview on the 30th. Considering the holidays, it could be just a delay in returning your passport as it is only a week now. Like mentioned earlier, get in touch with the VFS. They should have the latest update.

Thanks mate. So it is nothing to be worried about, right? I was thinking the same (holidays) but was kinda getting worried anyway.

I did contacted VFS today and the said the same thing today as well, that the PP has not been handed over to them from the consulate. I guess all i can do is wait and watch.
