  • H1 extension based on GC filing

    Hi,

My 6yrs stay in US on H1 is getting completed by March 2011 and I have not yet filed a GC. I work for a US company and it doesn't apply for GC's as it has signed with the US government.

I believe that if I am able to file a GC before March 2010 then there is a possibility that my H1 will get extended for one more year.

Can I file GC from any outside consultancy? if so then pls provide the links for such employers.

    Thank you very much.

Nowadays PERM take almost 11+ months to approve. You should have filed for the labor (PERM) atleast 365 days before the end of the 6th year to get a 1 year extension based on the pending labor.
Not a legal advice. Use of this information is strictly at your own risk.
