I am a research associate Plant biotechnology, went for H1B and H4 stamping in chennai. VO asked which project I was working in USA. I said the project I was working in but it had some technical terms in it. VO smiled at us and immediately she asked my wife all the details about our marriage. Later she asked me to goto window D and asked to me submit the forms they require. When i went to window D - they gave me a questionnaire which has same questions as that of 221G pink form. She asked me to fill those questions there itself and asked me to attach my recently updated C.V. I had done that too. She took my FORM I-129 and Passports. My questions are
1) I have not seen or heard this type of issue like filling the 221g questionnaire then and there in consulate itself.
2) It had been a week but still my case status had not been updated yet in the chennai consulate website. How can find my case status update. Is it safe to shoot a mail to Chennai consulate regarding my case status update.
