H4 Visa interview without marriage certificate -- Need help

Hi,

I have H1B and me and my family is not having H4B visa. I am planning to schedule H4 visa interview in India as I am going there for 2 weeks vacation. But I don't have Marriage Certificate and it is not possible to take it now as I am in USA. After going back I don't think I will have enough time to get marriage certificate and attend H4 visa interview as I have only 2 weeks vacation.

But, her passport has my name as spouse name. Is there any way to substitute marriage certificate for the purpose of H4 interview ?

I took letter from village Assistance officer. Is it useful to attend H4 visa?
