I-94 expiry - urgent info needed

Hello...

My I-94 is going to expire on March 10, 2010 (because of my old passport expiry, the officer at airport gave me a validity until the expiration date of my old passport). My H1 visa is valid until April 30, 2011. I got my new passport now and I am planning to leave for india in feb last week. I have a question about the dates of travel. Is it required that I be back before March 10? Or does the return date not matter as long as I leave before the March 10? I would really appreciate any advice regarding this as soon as possible.

You just need to leave before the current I-94 expires (Unless you have filed for an extension - which is not required in your case since you are traveling in Feb). You can enter anytime before your visa expires. You will get an new I-94 upon your return by showing the new passport, valid visa (from old passport) and a valid petition.
