H1 extension from India

Hi
My H1 visa expired in september, and am currently working on extended I94. I wish to know if I lose my existing job before next month and return to India, will I be able to file an H1 extension from India? Will I be counted in quota again?

Simran/Senior members please help. its urgent

Yes, your company should be able to do that provided you haven't completed all 6 years in your H1B.
