Applying two visa same time

Hi,

This is probably my first Question here as I found this site very useful.
I would like to ask if I can apply two visa at same time ?
Here is scenario :
I am currently in USA on L1B Visa with company "A". I found a company "B" in USA who is ready to file my H1B Visa for 2010. I may go back to my home country next month as my extension of L1 Visa with company "A" may get denied. My current company "A" may file my L1B visa again after I go back my home country. So by this, I am in a situation where two companies applied two visas for me; Company "B" applying for H1B and company "A" applying for L1B.
is this possible ? or if I get in this situation, my both visa will get rejected.

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

No issues. Multiple petitions can be filed at the same time for an individual (They are not visas). If both of them gets approved, you can decide which one you want to get stamped in your passport (Stamping in the passport is called "Visa").
