H4 to H1 COS

Hi,

I got H1 approval in Oct 2008. (Its validity is upto sep 2011).
I went to India and came back to US on H4 in nov2008.

Few months ago my employer got One big project with state government. Now I am working for my employer as Volunteer at my employer's office location since 3 months.

It it possible to convert my status from H4 to H1 based on this In-house project? If yes, what documents I need?

>>> Yes. Your employer need to file a COS to H1B. Check with your employer/company attorney and they should be able to give you the list of documents required.
