I-797A - If Original is not received from employer

Hi,

I was checking I-797A which generally comes with attached I-94.
There are two parts attached below - Left part is for personal records and right part is I-94.
I-797A says that LEFT PART i.e. one for personal records CAN BE USED for getting a VISA.
So , I know whole I-797A original is required for the visa interview.
But if by any chance you are not getting the original from the employer (Upper Part) OR if you have LOST the upper part - as I have seen this in many forums. Then I think you can use the bottom left part for it (along with a photocopy of complete I-797A if you have).This is just a suggestion.
