  • URGENT question on h1 transfer from being an accountant to RN

    Hi everyone..

I am new to this forum but in desperate need of your help.
I am working in Accounting firm with H1 visa but after 3 yrs of working as a full time I cut back my hours and is now working as per diem.

I am now working as an RN in local hospital. My h1 from accounting firm is only good up to 2 more yrs. Can I apply for a H1 transfer in the hospital where I work as an RN now. They are not aware of my status. I wander if thats going to be a ground for them to fire me out if they found out that I only am eligible to work for another 2 yrs and is in need of h1 sponsorship again. I never thought i will need them for an H1 visa.

any advice will be a great help

    thank you so much,

Your new employer has to file for concurrent H1, if you want to work for both employers at the same time. Without H1 from new employer, your work with them is illegal.

H1 is maximum for 6 years only. After that you need to spend a year outside before entering US.
