DS160 different numbers on appointment and confirmation

Hello Everyone,

I have a weird situation. I took an appointment with a DS160 number in Ottawa and when I went to submit the DS160 form I could not retrieve it and has uploaded from my computer to the website but it gave me a different number than that is present in the appointment confirmation. There are no new appointments available for me to cancel and make a new appointment.

Please let me know what I can do at this time

- can consulate update the different DS160 confirmation number at the time of appointment?
