My H1B was under processing when I lost my passport. I applied for new passport and received a new passport with a new passport number. I received my H1B approval with i94 as well during this time. My question is should I inform US Embassy that I lost my passport and update with my new passport number as am not sure if i94 is based off work visa and passport number or is i94 not related to passport number at all. Please advise as I have travel plans soon and want to make sure I have everything ready before I travel. Thank You!
