The previous reply by one of our freinds is incorrect.

You do not need a stamp with the new employer name as long as the visa (Stamp) is valid. You will be issued an I094 with dates on your nw H1B at the port of entry. No worries!

This is not a legal advice. You may use at your own risk or contact a legal professional.

(Although its stamped in my passport and I do have the new Approval Notice).

No problem. Let them cancell. You have a new approval notice. Such cancellation has no effect on ur visa Stamp.

            h1 transfer

            Hi,

thanks for your help. I guess I can go out and come back to US with my old stamping (as its valid till 2006) as long as I carry the new I 797. Would this work for my wife as well if she travels with me. She didnt get any seperate notice of approval for h4.

            Thanks
            Anupam
