Perm with a new employer

I have an approved I140 from my previous employer. After switching jobs I used it to get my H1 extension. Now my current employer has applied from my labor/perm. My questions are as follows
1. Can a perm be denied and if yes does it impact my current H1 (avalid till Jan 2022) which I got based on my previous I140 which is in a valid state
2. After my current employer applied for my I140. What are the impacts on my previous I140 in case of both approval and denial of my new I140.
