Surrogate baby on h1b

Hello,
Can we bring the surrogate baby immediately on H4? Or do we have to wait for a certain period?
I am a single woman and trying to find option of surrogacy, as i was told if we adopt a baby, we can not immediately bring the baby here on h4.

Hi all,

Myself and my wife are working in different companies thru H1B Sponsorship. We are planning to do a surrogate child from India. My question is has anyone done H4 for surrogate child and found any issues from US Consulate?
We are still Indian Citizens and baby will have our names as parents on birth certificate.
Please let us know if you have any information.
