I was recently laid off my job of ten years, I have been on H1-B and worked legally althrough. I have a pending AOS I -485 (Petition through employment) thats in the final stages and a current H1-B thats valid till 2013. My urgent question is. Can I file for unemployment insurance or could this jeopardize the AOS process ???
