I am in the USA on H4 Visa. I got admission and got a new I-20. I am travelling to India in december and booked my F1 visa appointment. However the school DSO said that the I-20 had the "change of status" as I20 issue reason. So i need to get a new I-20 saying new F1 because I am going to india and not doing change of status here. New i-20 they confirmed will have new sevis number and i will have to make changes to visa application.
Any one has experience if it is fine to take the i-20 saying "change of status" as I20 issue reason to India consulate?
