H1-B extension

Can H1-B extended after six years, when the project is still going on.
My H1-B six years is getting completed in Oct 2019, but I still have project till next year.
Any comments are very appreciated.

It can't be extended beyond 6 years unless you have I140 approved. Or you can reclaim your stay outside of USA(if any) to get further extension
