Chennai Dropbox Wait Time

Hi there,
I applied for my H1B through dropbox on Dec 10th. Still no word from the consulate. Previously, I had gotten it within a week. I checked the status and it still says under administrative processing.

Does anyone know how long the wait times are? I'm flying out of the country soon and need my passport.

Applied on the 10th as well. Went into admin processing status on 16th and visa issued status on 17th. Passport was ready for collection on 18th (yet to collect).

admin processing status in a normal workflow means they are actively working on your case, if there are no issues, you should see the visa issued within 2 business days from the admin processing status. In non-standard cases, admin processing could mean a blackhole
