status change from L2 to H4

hi
I am in USA and i want to go to country B.I am in L2.As My husband has applied for H1 so my status will change to H4.So in between this processing time can i go to india and come back?Will that effect my H4 visa application?

Will the application be cancelled?Does anyone have any idea when the H1 B visa processing starts?

If you travel outside when a petition is pending with USCIS, it might get the petition denied. If the petition gets denied, then you may need to go out of the country and get the H4 stamped to re-enter in H4 status.

What do you mean by H1B processing start date? Procesisng for 2011 has already started and it will take 2-3 months to get the result.
