Hi,
I have submitted my documents for H1B extension dropbox in Chennai consulate on 12/20/2019.The case was updated to 'Administrative Processing' on 12/27. I was worried and looked at my DS160 to check if I have made any mistake. I noticed that I have provided a incorrect passport expiration date. Instead of May, I have entered as March. The date and year are matching. I'm suspecting this may be the reason my case was changed to 'Administrative Processing'. Should I contact consulate and inform them about this correction?
I didn't receive any emails or 221g form from the consulate and my passport is still with them. Any help on this is much appreciated.
