Regarding checks

One of my friend is getting money from his employer every month. In order to avoid audit problems my friend requested me to give my name for one check for one month. his idea is, once I get the check on my name i can tranfer that to my friends account. is it legal? what are the problems

it is not advisable to do that. Its kind of he is making his black money to white using your name.
