I am currently on H1B visa. My spouse is currently working on H4 EAD. I got an offer from another employer and my new employer applied for my H1B petition along with H4 and H4 EAD applications for my spouse. My spouse employer is going to file her H1B during this year’s H1 cycle (FY 2021). So this is case where H4/H4 EAD and H1 applications for dependent are in process at the same time.
Given this background pls provide feedback on below queries:

- What happens to H1 application if H4/H4 EAD application is approved before decision on H1 is received?
- If both H4 EAD and H1 applications are approved for spouse, what type of work permit (H4 EAD or H1B) is better to use for employment?
