Hi,
I have one unique situation. I am working in one university as a visiting faculty under j1 academic training. I still have to teach in this current university until the end of spring semester. Spring semester already started, we are in 3rd week.
I also found another tenure-track job in another university. I will start working on August 2020. However, when lawyer apply h1b, they thought I am going to start this new university immediately. So now my H1b approved while I have still contract with my current employer, where I am under j1 academic training.
So can I still work for my current employer? or should I quit? If I continue working with my current employer can it be a problem when I apply green card in the future? This is definitely lawyer's problem. I have sent them my contract. It clearly states there I will start on August 2020. I do not know who they can screw on that. I emailed them, they said they will review and get back to me. However, I want to get other's opinion as well.
Thanks.
