urjent advice

hi
i was issued a 221g at delhi embassy last month and i received my passport stamped today...but i did not get my original I797 through VFS...and in the evening i got a call from embassy asking me to come and collect it at embassy...does any one come across such a situation...or its just me facing this situation...
senior members and experienced guys plz give me some suggestion what might be the reason for this asking me to come and collect it embassy...

your help is really appreciated...

They might have missed to include it in the package that contains your passport.
