How to correct the passport information on a I-539 already filled ?

On my spouse's I-539 form the passport information (associated with last entry /I-94) has been filed wrongly instead of of expired passport(which was valid at the time of the entry) current passport information had been filed.

I-94 is due to expired on 25th of March.

I have couple of questions

1. How this could be corrected ?
2. What could be possible issue due to this
