Hi,
I have a valid H1 stamped till July 2021 (from my current employer). I have never used it because my company couldn't find any project. I have visited US on visitor visa though. I am in talks with another employer to transfer my H1. They mentioned that since I never used my current visa, I will have to go for stamping again after approval. This doesn't match with what I have read on forums. I though I797 was enough. What are the scenarios under which I have to go for stamping again ? Is it because it's not H1 transfer and they are filing a new H1 petition which is cap exempt?
