Hi! I am working in a start-up company for 6 months and I have been asked to find a new job in 3 weeks. I found from my H1 papers today that my H1 was filed as a part-time H1. How does a part-time H1 work? Can I legally work for less than 40 hrs a week and get paid less than 60k (which is normally the minimum lca salary)? Please let me know asap.

H1B can be approved for PT job, salary must be according to prevailing wage for position and work location (minimum not less than PW). If employer is going to terminate your employment you should look for new H1B sponsor to transfer employment; otherwise you may become out of status and before that happen you should go back to your country and keep a good immigration record.
You may start working for new employer after filing your application to transfer H1B status.
