    Unemployment Benefit for H4 EAD

    Hi
    My wife has valid H4 EAD and was working in private school as pre-school teacher. Now due to Corona disaster, the school is closed and her employer has asked all the employees to file for unemployment benefit. I would like to understand if it's ok to file for unemployment benefits on H4 EAD?
    Will there be any impact of claiming this on our visa and Green card process in future?

    Yes, she can get unemployment if allowed by the state. No, it will not affect her immigration processes.

      As we understand no unemployment benefit for any 'H' status applicant even yr employer paid for insurance . be careful before filing ask attorney.
