H1B Dropbox denied request for interview, travel on B1B2 and apply change of status

I have to appear for a H1b interview but embassies are closed, is it possible to to enter the Us on B1B2 visa that I already have and then change the status to approved i797A Petition ?

Hi,
If you have already B visa then you can travel. But please make note, there is a travel ban still there. You will need NIE Approval in order to travel on B visa too.
