  • Work frm home in H1B

    Hi,

I am on H1B. If my employer is in State A, my client company is in State B and I work from home in State C, would it cause any problem? What kind of documentations would I need to make this arrangement work? Which state's income tax should I pay legally? If I plan to visit India and return back, what would be the best port of entry for me? Your quick response would be highly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Ski

tax should be for State C. Your LCA should be for state C.

      Milda- Thanks for your response.

In my case, my emloyer is a desi consulting company. In case my company doesn't have any office in the state where I intend to work, do yo know whether it's still possible for them to file my LCA in this state? Do you know whether this kind of arrangement would cause any issues if I go back to India for vacation/stamping and try to enter the US again?

      Best regard,
      Ski
