Got 221g, Can I apply for new H1B ?

I had filed H1b through a consulting company and got 221g during my interview. I was asked to submit some documents relating to my employer. I have submitted documents and it has been 7 months and no reply yet. Now, my current company is filing new H1b. Will my previous case affect this new h1b petition ?

No issues since the employer is different. However it is advisable to send a notification to the consulate to cancel that processing. If that visa is denied, then it will reflect in all your future visa applications.
