I got my H1b approved oct 2009 but till now didn't find any project.I have got a project now my question is can i start the project so late

Irrespective of the project when you are in H1B your sponsor is supposed to pay you. If you don't have pay slips then you are out of status on H1B which will reflect in your W2. You will have impacts on your extension/visa stamping later.
