H4 visa - Documents required for admission into the US

I need information on documents required for admission into the US for a person on H4 visa. Specifically does the person need to have the original I-797 approval notice of the principal H1 applicant (spouse).

My wife and me recently went on a trip to India and applied for and got our visa's stamped at the US consulate. I am on H1 and she is on H4.

I came back to US last week. She will be coming back to the US in the next couple of weeks.

As she is coming back alone I wanted to make sure that she has all the documents that she needs to gain admission back into the US.

What are the documents that she needs apart from the passport with the valid H4 visa stamp?

Does she need my original I-797 document? She has a copy of the orginal I-797 with her now, if she needs the original I will need to mail it back to her.

Does she need to carry any other document?

She will need copy of your approval notice. If possible copy of your visa and I-94 and marriage certificate should also kept.

In addition to the below, let her carry your latest pay slips and an employment verification letter to prove that you are maintaining your valid H1B status, as H4 depends on a valid H1B status.
