Hi All,
I'm going to Toronto to get my H1B Visa stamped next week. I've got 7th year extension because PERM application is pending for more than a year (PERM application was selected for AUDIT). I'm planning to take following documents with me.
1. Passport (Passport expires in Feb 2011, so its valid for more than 6 months)
2. 2 Photos
3. Copy of Visa appointment letter
4. Scotia Bank receipts
5. Confirmation page. This is the page which I got after filling the DS-160. This page has got my photo and and barcode.
6. I-797 ( H1-B approval)
7. Employment verification letter
8. Copy of Labor Condition Approval
9. ETA 9089 (PERM application)
10.I-129 petition
11.Pay stubs for past 6 months
12.Current Resume
13.W-2 and Tax returns
14.Bank statements
15.Social Security card
16.Business Cards
17.Old I-797 (Previous H1 approvals)
Can you guys please verify if I'm missing anything?
On the Visa confirmation letter it says that I need to bring:
Passport or travel document valid for 6 months beyond your US stay.
My passport is valid for next next 7 months and 20 days so I do not meet this requirement. However I found the following link

which says that for Indian citizens the requirement that your passport be valid for six months beyond your date of departure from the U.S. is waived.
Can you guys please advice on this?
Also I'm going to drive to Canada in my car. I'm going to take Car Title paper along with me. What else do I need to take to cross the border in my car?
