Clarification required for employer change

My H1B got approved recently. My dependent's H4 is waiting for approval. I want to know if I can change employer while H4 approval is pending. Our I94 expired and my new i94 expiry date will be known once I get my I797.

Yes you can change employer while waiting for H-4 approval. The H-4 application will still be reviewed and approved based on the last employer. No additional document needs to be filed with USCIS for the H-4 status after change of employer.

Thanks Jack. Can you please confirm if it will cause any issue with the legal stay of my depedents in USA? I want to ensure that H4 status is not revoked just because my employer has changed.

No, won't cause issues while H4 is pending and I-94 has expired.
