H1B petition change

My H1B petition was filed this year (status is still initial review). Now the client for which the LCA was filed has changed ( the project stopped so client letter cannot be given ). Now a new LCA can be obtained from a new client. But what is the process.. can the previous petition be cancelled and new petition filed or same can be changed.

If the current H1B petition gets approved, then you need to file a new LCA and an H1B amendment petition.

The issue is, if I get a RFE for client letter then what are the options. As a client letter from the previous client will not be available, can I change the client on the petition. And give letter from new client. If not, what are the other options. It would be very helpful if someone has come across any such case can give some inputs.
