Hope you guys are doing fine. I would need all your suggestion. I got my initial H1B approval for X company for 3 years (Feb 2007 to Sep 2009) and went USA and worked till June 2009 and came to India for my vocation. I switched my employer from X to Y and got approval (I-797) up to June 2011. I went my stamping on June 23, 2009 and got 221g. They asked me to submit all documents which ticked in 221g through VFS office. Due to the market, my employer took 6 month to send all documents and he sent on April 12th 2010. I dropped all the documents along with my passport on 13th April 2010.
I got my passport back without stamping a week after and I got another 221g blue with ticked option for AAP. It is almost 2 months. When I mailed and asked my status, they replied me that still under AAP and they asked me to make sure to submit all documents which mentioned in new 221g. After I got response only, I came to know that I supposed to submit the documents which mentioned in new 221g. Honestly I did not see clearly that new 221g at that time. They requested to submit:
1.DS-160
2.Original 1-797
3.Original I-129
4.LCA
I already submitted all documents (I-797, I-129 and LCA) except DS-160 which mentioned new 221g as response for my first 221g. I again mailed the consulate and asked solution. They told me that, since I submitted my entire original last time, they asked to submit the copy of all documents which mentioned in that new 221g. I am about submitting all those documents in the coming week. I have few questions here.
1.It is almost 2 months that process started, if I submit the copy of documents now, how many months or weeks they will take to complete process?
2.How important that DS-160?
3.Is that true that after we submit that DS-160 (confirmation page) only, they will start the process?
