Response time to an RFE

Hi All,

2 1/2 months back my company filed my H1 Extension based on I-140 with Regular processing at Vermont Center. I got an RFE 3 weeks back. My company sent the response to my RFE previous week.

I just want to check how many days does USCIS take to respond to an RFE. Will it take approximately same 2 months to get back to us on approval or will the response to RFE be quicker?

If it does take the same time as original filing, I will plan to change it to Premium processing since I need to send papers to my in-laws for visiting since my wife is pregnant and her due date is within 2 months. It is like a crunch time for me.

My company says "It is quicker and no need to apply premium processing".

Any suggestions?

Sometimes it takes 2-3 months. If you are in hurry, then it is better to go for premium.
