Incorrect SPELLING in Passport

Hi,

My mothers name was wrongly SPELLED in her Passport. different than in my passport. does it create any problem while applying for VISA.

1- She does not have any educational certificates to cross check. Will it be ok?
2- If its problem,what is the procedure to change the spelling?

2. what do you mean by wrong spelling? is it different than that of your passport application? If so, you can contact passport office.
