  • Travelling to India - No dropbox

    Hello,

I am in a tough spot. I have to goto India sometime 2021 because i will be getting married. I havnt been to India in last 4 years so my visa is expired hence i am ineligible for dropbox.
This means that i will have to take visa interview.

Now my question is related to timelines. Kindly help me understand how long could the things take based on the current timelines considering the consulates in India are closed.

If i goto India, could it take around 3-4 months to get back to USA as per the current timelines? Or could it be much longer?

Also, what is the visa interview date timeline for regular processing(non dropbox)

What things should i consider if I plan to travel to India?

    Regards

You can try Canada or Mexico for visa stamping - but you will have to book slots as and when border opens
