H1 extension with i140 approved!

Hi,

I got H1 in 2017 and in 2018 I changed employers. The I797 with this new employer is valid till June 2021. My employer also filed I140 and it was approved a few months ago.essay writer
My employer is now filing the extension. They generally prepare the case well in advance. My expectation was that they would file from 2021-2024. But they filed the LCA only for 2 yrs till June 2023. The reason stated is they filed for the LCA early and they will use the I140 based extension after the 6 yr mark. The 6yr mark is 2023. Is this common?

Hi,
If you would have got I-140 Approval before your Ext petition, then you may have requested three years only. I think, they have filed an LCA before your I-140 Approval. That is the reason they filed LCA for your remaining H1B period.
