H1B Dropbox waiting time

Hi everyone.
My H1B stamp expired in June 2020 and I have a valid I797 approved until August 2021.
Currently my employer already has started a visa extension process until August 2024. (collecting necessary docs, questionnaire etc)
My father is in hospital and I may need to visit India in emergency.
I understand that I will need a new visa stamp and I do qualify for dropbox.

My question is, how long are dropbox wait times? Is it easy to get an appointment through dropbox in covid times?

Answer: Now a days, they get H1B Appointments and Drop box appointments too. People are booking slots within one or two months.
