Im in US right now with expired visa. I have approved petition.

Can I travel to Mexico and get my stamping done and come back into US?

What papers needed to travel to Mexico? All i have is a valid indian passport

Yes. You can get visa stamping in third country. But, Please check for now, whether they accept third country nationals visa application or not. Based on that, you can plan.
