Travelling to India during COS from F1 to H1

Hi All,

I am currently employed under OPT Extension and it is valid till 03/2011. Currently I have applied for H1 and it is still under processing. I am planning to travel to India during COS from F1->H1 so could anyone please advise me if this could create any problems.

Can I come back on OPT extension even though my H1 is approved when I am in India. I guess the approved H1 is only active from October 1st or do I have to get it stamped before entering USA.

---- It is never good idea to travel oveseas when you have a pendung COS

---- If you want to travel apply for a H1 by PP , take the approved petition so that you can be sure of H1, get a H1 visa while in India and return of H1 to the US (10 days before start of employment on Oct 1)

---- You may bot be able to return OPT as you get a H1 without I-94 and at that time you have to go out of US and return wiht sa H1 visa on your Passport
