H1 Location change

I am a telecommuter working in a different location from my employer, a large healthcare company. My work location is my home office and the LCA reflects that.

I am considering relocating to a different state. I understand that this requires that my attorney needs to file a amended petition for location change.

Does this mean that if approved,I’ll get a fresh 3 years or valid only till expiration of my current visa(early next year)?

Trying to understand this to time my move better. Thanks!

Hi,
If you file strict Amendment then you will get Amendment approved till current H1B validity.. Otherwise, If you file Amendment+ Ext petition, then based on Project duration you will get approval..
