Fresh H1 after completing L1 term

Hi All,

I have a L1B visa which has already been extended once for two years. Since I can not get any more extension on my L1B; I am thinking of filling for a new H1B petition.

I was in India for one year after I got my L1 and before traveling here. I would like to know by how much period (years) my total stay would be extended should my H1 be granted by immigration.

Max on L1 + H1 is 6 years.
Any gaps (travel out of US) in between can be claimed.

Total time spent "IN U.S" on L1 status + H1B status = 6 years.
