H1b visa on Passport Renewal

Hi,

I transitioned from an F1 to H1b visa last year. However, due to covid I was not able to leave the country and get my visa stamped. My passport is now expiring in September. I wanted to renew my passport in the US, however would there be any issue in getting the visa stamp on the new passport? Is there anything that I have to do prior to renew the passport?

Hi,
There is no problem on renewing your Passport.. Only thing you will need to make sure is, when you go for Visa stamping, Please carry both the Passports.. if you schedule Visa interview after your current passport expiry then provide only new passport details.. If you schedule appointment before your current passport expiry then provide current passport details.
