Can I file B2 while my H1-B extension is in Process/Progress??

I am on H1B visa and submitted an extension https://19216811.cam/on to recapture vacation days, if i get approval it will be valid until 14-Aug-2021(Max out date). We are expecting baby on July 18th 2021( as per doctor predicted date ). https://1921681001.id/

1. Can I submit for a B2, 2 weeks before my H1-B Max out days so that i can stay addition 1 month to get all the documents ready for my Baby?

Yes. you can file change of status petition.. But Please note, approving change of status from H1B to B2 will take more time..
