H1B Visa dropbox in India as not getting appointment in Canada

Hi,

I have an approved H1B extension and currently I am in Canada. Since I am not getting any appointment in Canada this year, I am planning to goto India for dropbox. I am eligible for dropbox as my last extension expired in 2020 only. My employer is saying that my case doesnot qualifies under emergency appointment.
Please let me know if there is any risk in traveling for dropbox in India. Has anyone had a similar experience?
What are the chances of 221g only for the reason that "I am working in Canada and going to India for US stamping"?

Hi,
For drop box facility, you should have got your Previous visa in same country( India) on same visa.. If you have got your previous H1B visa in India, then again you can renew your Visa in India and you will be eligible for Drop box..
There is no issues, if you go to India for Visa Stamping even though you be in Canada right now. Hope your home country is India.
